Korie Williams : Visionary

About eight years ago, our community was shaken when four young men tragically lost their lives to gun violence. I found myself heartbroken and asking, Why is this happening? The answer soon became clear to me: our young people don’t have enough safe spaces—places where they can be mentored, guided, and pointed in the right direction.
I took this burden to the Lord in prayer, and He laid it on my heart to build a community center. My first response was, “No, Lord, we don’t have the money for such an undertaking.” But God spoke clearly to my heart and said, “I have all the money—I just need someone to do the work.”
Fast forward eight years, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to share that construction is now underway—fully funded by an incredible couple who believed in the vision. Words cannot express how thankful we are. Because of their generosity and God’s faithfulness, many lives will be transformed.
I have seen firsthand how sports can positively impact lives. I’ve also experienced what it’s like to not have access to a safe, adequate facility to grow and improve through sport. That’s why our vision is clear: to serve our community by creating a space where young people can not only play and grow in athletic ability, but also be mentored—learning discipline, teamwork, and other lasting life values that sports naturally instill.
This is more than just a building—it’s a place of hope, purpose, and transformation
